[ICR2] 3D Kits resources by
Émeric MASCHINO
Hi,
Does anybody know where I could find the 3D Kits for IndyCar Racing 2 that were available BITD at http://simracing.com/downloads/indycar/3dkits.shtml (here's an archive copy of what I'm referring to:...

This place was better in the 90's :) by
iRacecraft
Wasn't everything a bit better in the 90's?
It seems everything lost its soul in the pursuit of the money.
I'm still enjoying ICR2, GPL, NASCAR Racing (the original and 3, with the CTS addon), NASCAR Legends and GP4.
I try to get enthusiastic for the modern titles, but they all seem so...

Best F1 simulator for standard laptop by
[email protected]
Hi. I would like to have an F1 racing game. My potential restriction
is that I have a Lenovo Thinkpad R60 with standard Intel graphics
built into the motherboard. It has lots of disk and 1GB memory
however.
I know any game I get won't be able to use all the graphical
capabilities, but could anyone...

NASCAR 2003 CD KEY NEEDED by
[email protected]
Hello
About two weeks ago, Hurricane Ike managed to sweep through our
region of the country. In doing so, it blew a tree branch down and it
crashed through a corner of our home opening it to the elements.
This was to my office and it literally blew everything in my
ROLODEX file to all...

Recommend a Sim For a Returning Sim Racer? by
[email protected]
I'm just getting back into sim racing after a very, very long layoff. Back in the day, I was active in MARA (which hopefully some of you remember) racing mainly with GPL. I even served as official scorekeeper for a season or two. In my brief research, I see that the racing sim landscape has...

Axis sensitivity (FFB) by
Mario Petrinovic
Mario Petrinovic:
Mario Petrinovic:
Ha, I found one important mistake that I've made. I had axis
sensitivity on the default value in Logitech Profiler (50%). It should
actually be 100%.

Actually, it...

"cockpitLookDeadZone" by
Mario Petrinovic
Should be 1.000000.
Now I am using:
In Logitech drivers 100/100/100/Centering Spring should be somewhere
around 60 on my system.
In-game 50.0/50%.
So, iRacing made three mistakes:
- unlinearity
- locked in-game Damper
- messing up with "cockpitLookDeadZone".

FFB - "The Right One" by
Mario Petrinovic
Ok, finaly I got it.
"The trick" is to put Centering Spring at 0%, and adjust
"cockpitLookDeadZone". On my system it is around 0.015300.
Centering Spring and cockpitLook DeadZone adjust themselves in
parallel. In other words, for every Centering Spring position there is
adequate...

Centering spring (FFB) by
Mario Petrinovic
Ok, it looks like I found it.
The main thing is that Centering Spring should be at 50%. This is
for natural FOV and "cockpitLookDeadZone" at 0.000000.
Driver's 100/50/50/50 and in-game 50.0/100% works well. I presume
in-game Damper should be at 100%. Everything else is to your...

The right FFB by
Mario Petrinovic
Ok, I finaly got it. This is what should be the default:
- driver: 100/50/50/-
- in-game: 50/50
Centering Spring should be adjusted, and on my system it is
somewhere around 10%.

"cockpitLookDeadZone" affects Centering Spring by
Mario Petrinovic
"cockpitLookDeadZone" affects Centering Spring BADLY.
"cockpitLookDeadZone" should be at 0.000000. It looks like this is
another "invention" of iRacing/Papyrus that messes FFB big time, messes it
BADLY. Those people DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING *at all*. My god.
Well, this is the...

New build, new FFB by
Mario Petrinovic
Well, with the new build, it looks like it works something I tried
before.
So, this is what works:
Put in-game sliders to 50%.
Adjust Overall in Logitech drivers.
It looks like this is all. I didn't finish the testing yet, because
of this server problems.
