Default 2001 Dodge Neon

I have an automatic 01 dodge neon and the reverse gear is slipping and
jerking, could this be my trany or something not so big of a problem. It
also trys to cut off on me when I slow down, park, or Reverse. For a while
now at times putting in in Reverse is a challenge, any help?

well for starters how many miles and did you check the fluid the neon
is notorious for automatic problems when was the last time the fluid
was changed and the filter i do a lot of mopar transmissions and i
find that the fluid is real problem you change the oil in the car why
not the fluid in the transmission

Of course it's the ****ing transmission! What the **** else could it be,
Einstein? Your best bet is to take it to the junkyard and see if you can
get a few bucks for it. The transmission repair cost will FAR exceed the
value of that POS.

Jezuz.

likely true, but likely worth checking to make sure it HAS fluid -
might be worth changing it and seeing if it helps. Stranger things
have happened, and if the rest of the car is good there ARE used
transmissions around that can be installed for a reasonable price.
