"fastest". There are *numerous* cars available that will blow the doors
off this Corvette. That includes drag-type racing for a short distance,
or top speed. Corvette is nowhere near the top in either category.

What mass produced production car is faster than the ZR1? How does it
compare to the SRT-8?

Well, without bothering to look up models, there are many. Some would
include cars from: Lamborghini, Maserati, Ferrari, Porsche, and probably
a few more.

Most of those that might be faster are not exactly mass produced. Ever
go to a Ferrari or Lamborghini dealership? You won't find any showroom
with a selection of cars to look at etc. You're also talking about cars
that cost $250,000+ compared to Vettes that start under $50,000.

Not all of them, no. Certainly there are models from Lamborghini,
Ferrari, Porsche that are, and are (much) faster than a Corvette.
