Ford PATS keys info
A friend of mine had to have his 05 F150 towed in. It was found that
his key went bad. They had to have both keys to program it. I called a Ford dealer and the price of a key is $35 and $70 to program it. Since I own an 06 F150, I got a PATS key blank on Ebay and had a local locksmith cut it for me. I then programmed the extra key myself by the instructions in the owners manual and from the key vendor. It worked great. All for less than $15. Now I will always have 2 GOOD keys.
