Default My 94 Explorer V6 4X4

I had I massive transmission leak today. I was going up a mountain
pass about 3500 ft. Tranmission just sprung a good leak and drained
basically all of the fluid. It took five quarts to fill it back up.
However now I have driven it around a few miles and no significant
leaks. What's up with this. Was it overheating and forced out a seal.
Seems to be doing fine now....Any ideas??
