Notchy gear shift
The gear shift on my 1990 Miata (139,500 miles) lately has started to
seem notchy, and shifting into reverse sometimes produces an embarrassing grinding noise. Does anyone know what the problem is, and how much it is likely to cost to fix? Everything else on the car is fine, and I plan to keep it for some time. I would just like to have the gear shift back the way it was.
