Another Rear Bumper 156
I've recently had a mild shunt from behind.
The damage *seems* superficial - a small chip & a nice faint imprint of the offending bumper. If the inside of the boot looks OK, and the boot still opens & shuts as it did before, is that all I need to look for? Is there compressable foam that means the bumper is trashed each time a bump happens, or is a quick cosmetic patch possible. TIA -- CGB |

On my old Lancia Delta, there was a plastic beam inside the bumper 'shell' to perform the job of absorbing a rear impact. If this is the case with the Alfa (I haven't needed to check mine), then you should consider examining inside the bumper; it's absorbed an impact once, but what happens next time, for example, when your children are sitting in the back? -- Max Reheat () - deselect Part Throttle Reheat to reply.
