I need to rebuild my master and wheel cylinders. Are we supposed to throw
out perfectly rebuildable items now?

Anybody know a source?

If you find any please let me know too! It is tragic that everything is
throw away now. Talk about environmentally UNconscious.

Havnt seen a "factory kit" for yonks but in Aust there are master cylinder
rebuilders who bore out the cylinder and
set in a stainless steel or brass ( from memory) "sleeve" and fit new seals
to suit the sleeve. Not just VW types, any brand. Might be worth
asking a few brake repair specialists if there is some near you. With the
price of new wheel cylinders, repair kits are probably
superfluous. Though the quality is so poor I generally order an extra so I
can fix the new one!.
