Just wanted to know before I fully let go of this neat item...

Does anyone know where these tachometers came from? Who Don garlits was
or what year they were made?

Don Garlits was a top competitor in unlimited fuel class dragster racing (AKA
"rails"). These were sold at stores like K-mart during the mid-70s.
