I'd buy one. That is the EXACT vehicle I want. I want a small AWD hybrid
based on a CAR platform, but with AWD, and preferably Japanese, such as
Suzuki in particular (suzuki made the geo metro)

The only thing that would make me hesitant about buying one is if it was
labelled "Hummer", I'd have to think twice (or maybe three times) before I'd
pull out the checkbook. -Dave

I looked at the Subaru outback. Not really tempted but it is a lot
smaller than they appear in the ads. Price a bit high too.
