Braking on a '71
Hi all-
You've helped me with some strange stuff in the past, hopefully you can provide some insight as to what's going on with my '71 supervert... Recently, the brakes have developed an issue where every other time I push the pedal, it goes right to the floor, as if I'm low on fluid or there's air in the lines. If I give it just one pump, it feels normal..even if there's miles and miles between the 'right to the floor' and the 'normal' pedal travel. There's plenty of fluid in the tank and there don't appear to be any leaks. Thoughts? |

It,d be a two circuit master cylinder that age. Even if there was air in one
circuit it shouldn,t go all the way to floor. Sound for all the world as if there is air in both circuits. Can you give it a good bleed?. > wrote in message ... The master cylinder may leak internally, due to rust or a piece of dirt
intermittently getting wedged between a seal and the bore. No fluid loss, but no pressure. jan On 9/29/2012 12:00 AM, John wrote: > It,d be a two circuit master cylinder that age.
