Back from the dead
Some of you might remember me, John. I had two Bugs and a kit car. One of the Bugs was a '58 I bought from Mikah.
Well, it is like coming back from somewhere else to be posting here and I hope I am welcome to do some more. After a couple heart attacks and other health interruptions, I finally retired and just a month ago I went to the storage place and took the wraps off the '58 and all four tires were cracked, broken and collapsed. That's how long it has been. Of course the engine will not start. WTF? A neglected 54 year-old car won't start? The paint is very badly oxidized. It was covered by a very good cover which tells you how log it was put away. So now it's in the driveway on blocks shaming me every time I leave the house. Oh, and look at what I found way in the back of the shed. http://www.digoliardi.net/skirts1.jpg |

Remember you? Hell, I often wonder about your disastrous Raby engine, and wish I had enough cash on hand to make a serious offer on it......though it does belong in the GTII. Micah's 58 can't take that much...get er back going and enjoy. Good luck with your health, I have had a few issues of my own along the way. I'm currently in Missouri. Gary AKA Gareth. |

Gary - I hadn't made the Gareth connection. Glad to see you, too, are still here. Chris |

We'll take your writing privileges under review. Shouldn't be too hard to meke it fire up.. .that will be your assignment for next weekend > The paint is very badly oxidized. And another saws-all. :-D I keed! Kinda. Lah dah dee, lah dah dah, life goes on... Neat to see you guys again. I went from 4 kids at home to 1, still working for the same company, have moved out to the country. Have been drooling over a few old Beetles recently but I still say I'll keep my word and buy one that's already been baja-ized if I buy one. I'm more into the motorcycle stuff these days but who knows where we'll all be a few years from now. |

Same jokes and all :-) I just facebook stalked you Jan :-) This really is like old times - I used up my interweb gigglebites so I'm on dialup speeds :-) Allan. --- news://freenews.netfront.net/ - complaints: --- |
