Check light / Check engine light
This will probably qualify as a dumb question, but here we go: I have a
1990 325i. It has a light in the center of the dash that reads "Check". Lower on the dash, in a line with several other lights is a light that reads "Check engine". My question is are these the same or different? If they are different, what are the differences? My check light has been flashing since I have owned the car (about a month). The check engine light comes on only with all of the others at startup. Does the check light relate only to the light panel above the windshield? There the brake light bulb burns constantly even though my brake lights work fine, and the SRS light is on constantly. I didn't get a manual so I need some information. By the way, does anyone know where I could get a manual? Thanks, |
