If we'd known in 1952 that we were looking at the side view preview of the
1955 Chrysler, DeSoto and Imperial I wonder if public interest could have led to more of these being produced. Here are some shots of the car after the addition of updated front and rear clips from the 56 Imperial. I agree. I've never actually seen one in a parade but seem to recall that
they were lent out to Los Angeles and New York and maybe Chicago for use with visiting dignitaries. Imagine the President using a car like this now! Too bad that times have changed and circumstances force him to sit behind bullet proof glass. max "Vlad" > wrote in message ... > On Thu, 25 Dec 2008 18:43:59 -0600, Max Magister wrote > (in article >): > >> If we'd known in 1952 that we were looking at the side view preview of >> the >> 1955 Chrysler, DeSoto and Imperial I wonder if public interest could have >> led to more of these being produced. Kinda interesting, the symbol that replaced the Chrysler lettering on the
front fenders looks an awful like the Plymouth logo from '57... -- Skip Middleton www.shadowcatcherimagery.com www.pbase.com/skipm "Max Magister" > wrote in message .com... > If we'd known in 1952 that we were looking at the side view preview of the > 1955 Chrysler, DeSoto and Imperial I wonder if public interest could have > led to more of these being produced.
