Default rFactor Multiplayer

Where is everyone at? DL'd the sim yesterday, and really like it a
lot. Ran offline for a while, then decided to see what was going on
online. I would be surprised if there weren't more people on #GPL last
night than were in all the rFactor races combined.

Are there other servers or something?

The matchmaking server was down if Im not mistaken. The numbers of drivers
wasnt all that great before the outage though.

Things were kind of dead again last night. I did get in one race where
there were 17 drivers, but my connection was horrible. Seems like
there are only ever a handful of active race events, and a ton of empty
servers. Where is everyone at?

....I still haven't had a good multiplayer experience yet. On another
server I was trying to run with one other car. The car moved smoothly
around the track, but it was all over the place. I think the driver
must have been incompetent.

The Game isn't a box on the shelf at the software store. It's online
distribution only as far as I know.

That cuts way back on the impulse buys, so I think adoption growth will be
mainly word-of-mouth.
