Default clutch adjust.

I HAVE A 96 F350 DI WITH 5 SPEED. I REPLACED THE CLUTCH ROD WITH AN
ADJUSTABLE ONE. I'M STILL NOT HAPPY WITH WAY IT SHIFTS. WHAT IS THE
CORRECT ADJ.? SHOULD I LENGTHEN OR SHORTEN THE ROD OR JUST TRY TO HAVE
A 1/2 OR SO FREE PLAY AT THE TOP?

Default clutch adjust.

'Normally' when they go 'out of adjustment', they are just plain worn
out. Trying to get 'more' adjustment will usually just start breaking
or wearing out things like the pressure plate fingers and throw out
bearings.

Where does the clutch engage on the pedal travel?
