Man Sentenced For Fatal DWI Crash
by Jim Aroune
Published Apr 24, 2007

A man learned his sentence Tuesday for the death of his daughter in a
drunk driving crash.

Jerry Lamphere crashed his car last July in the Cayuga County town of
Throop. His daughter, Brooke, 4, died in the crash.

His 7-year-old stepdaughter survived the crash.

Lamphere is sentenced to five to ten years in prison for second degree
manslaughter, and an additional year each for DWI and endangering the
welfare of a child.

-----------------------

He'll be free after two years and we all know it. America loves to
prattle about SAVE THE CHILDREN but when a kid is harmed by a reckless
driver, the legal system says "Hey - i drive crazy too so lets go easy
on people who kill kids on the highway,"

If that's true, then great!

He still has a 7 year old step-daughter - how long does she deserve to
go without a father?

Hey, let him serve no time at all - after all, it's for the children.
