The background is supposedly flying by at 205 fps. I would expect the background to have *some* "motion blur" at either of those shutter speeds. ----- - gpsman |

Most of NZ's roads do have exactly that style of seal and road marking, and those roadside barriers are also the most common type here. But I have never seen a non-antique car with MPH on its speedo (not even with MPH and KPH). That isn't to say they don't exist though; perhaps it is a European import or something, of which there are a lot here. |

I don't know much about photography, but it seems odd to me just how crystal clear the steering wheel is. Where would the driver have to have held the camera to take that photo ? Any camera I know would butcher the steering wheel when held, say, in front of the driver's chest. (And how did he hold the camera still enough to take such a photo?) It looks to me like top bar the steering wheel has been pasted on top of the dash. But the bottom part of the dash/wheel looks to be all one piece. Maybe the guy copied the wheel, pasted in some other dash, and put the wheel back? |

What kind of car is this?
I started a thread on the Wikipedia discussion about this:
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Im...Car-140mph.jpg Another big point that occurred to me while writing, is that the guy is just about to come up to a corner, and it isn't a gentle bend by any means! I've driven at 140mph myself, and at that speed he is DEAD if there is anything just around the corner where he can't see it, and he will also have MASSIVE brakes if he is going to stay in his lane and make his way around that corner. |

You call that a *corner* ? I'd call it a gentle bend. Graham |
