Default The ADC Will Host the 69 Mod!

Effective with our first event of the new year at Watkins Glen, the
Average Drivers Club will incorporate the brand-new 69 Mod into our
rotation. In other words, we'll run the 65's one week, 67's the next,
and the 69's the week after. We'll then start all over again. We feel
by doing it this way, we have something to offer to all GPL Racers.

Things were a bit different when the 65 Mod was released. At that time,
GPL and NR2K3 were the only games in town, and I think in some circles
the 65 Mod was looked upon as almost an intrusion by some, although
it's certainly earned it's place in the GPL world. But now, the climate
is different. The 69 Mod is being looked towards as hopefully a mod
that will re-kindle the GPL flame, in light of the very stiff
competition now present in the simracing community. And we at the ADC
want to be at the forefront of this rebirth.

What is the ADC, if you don't already know? The ADC is a club, not a
league. There are no points awarded or championship standings kept but
we will post race results in the ADC forums at Speedgeezers so everyone
can have bragging rights at some point or another. The primary emphasis
is on having fun. All racers are expected to drive in a gentlemanly,
courteous manner; not a win-at-all-costs mentality. You don't have to
be fast, but you have to be aware of your surroundings and fellow
competitors at all times.

Car restrictions based on GPL Rank are established to help equalize the
fields. Currently, we are running the original 67 cars, the 69 Mod, and
the 65 Mod on alternating weeks. The race format for all Divisions is
Intermediate Long with a 30-minute practice, and all races are run at
from a powerful bandwidth-patched passworded server.

We run four Divisions: Americas, European, Australian, and Average, at
various times/days during the week. Plus, once a month we hold a race
on a Saturday at a good time for all Division members to participate.

We have a large track list, which has been chosen to include a variety
of challenging and fun tracks. This list will be updated from time to
time due to the vast number of add-on tracks available. We run our
schedule on a 1 Papy/2 Add-on rotation.

If the ADC sounds like something that you'd like to be a part of, check
out our webpage at:

http://adc.speedgeezers.com

There you'll find a lot of useful information about the ADC, and signup
information.

Let's show the simracing community that GPL is not dead!
