Default Water in the passenger footwell

There have been a few torrential rains in the area recently. After the
rain storms, there was a substantial puddle under the passenger seat of
our 2006 MX-5. Where could it be getting in? It *seems* the water is
coming from under the bulkhead behind the seat.

Yes - the top was up!

Rain rail bad? Drains clogged? Oh, wait, 2006? Under warranty? Take
it to your dealer if it is.

I had a 72 Chevy Vega GT that did that to the drivers side. Took it in
under warranty, and they said it was the windshield washer thingie????
And replaced that part. But then it did it on each and every rain
afterward still. It had to be coming in from somewhere around the
front vent or windshield frame itself. I kept a towel stuffed in the
vent louvre (??sp??) area, to slow it down. When I traded it in, I was
given less due to a rotted carpet on that side. It was a different
Chevy dealer I traded it into, otherwise I would have been ****ED>LOL>
