Default 2005 V6 Problems filling up fuel tank in UK

Hi folks

Has anyone had any problems with their 2005 V6 stang when filling up
with petrol? I've heard stories here in the UK that the petrol pumps
keep clicking off when trying to fill up, some owners claim to have
been there for 20 mins and only manged to squeeze in a few litres.

Did a bit of searching and I found that ford US recalled some 2005 V6
stangs to replace the fuel tanks to try and fix this.

Any truth to this? I thought that it might just be because the pumps
here release fuel at a faster rate and its rushing back up the noozle
and clicking off.

Reason I'm asking is because I'm buying one next week.

Yes it happened to me.

The flap at the top of the filler neck comes loose and falls down the neck.
At the bottom of the neck there is a screen to prevent gas theft by
siphoning.

This blocks the filler neck and you can't put any gas in.

The dealer replaced the filler neck (no charge) with a new one without the
flap at the top, and all is well.
