You may or may not like custom cars. You may or may not like Studebakers.
You may or may not like the colors on this vehicle.

But whatever your feelings about it may be, the result is a unique and
seemingly well done crew cab pickup that is sure to turn heads.

I've seen a story board on this car/truck that details what went into it.
Trust me when I say you're looking at untold hours of labor and
craftsmanship.

Frankly I hate the colors myself and I suspect many others will too but I
admire the talent and determination of the father & son team that put this
thing together.

I have other shots that I may post later.

Correction --- "crew cab" refers to a pickup with 4 doors and plenty of leg
room for rear seat passengers so although it includes a rear seat it
technically isn't a crew cab since it's only got two doors.

Ford has a full sized pickup cab called the Super Cab that is
architecturally midway between its regular cab pickup and its crew cab
pickup. This would be more comparable to that.

God, you're easy to hook, Pig! It isn't that I hate kustom krap, it is
that I hate you and your self-centered outlook to everything. In short,
it is just YOUR cars I don't like, idiot.

Not a crew cab, numbnuts, if anything, it's a club cab. But then, you
know that because you just corrected yourself, right?

Well, I certainly don't like ALL custom cars, Pat, but I gotta admit: This
is the best customizing of a bulletnose 2-door sedan I have ever seen. Cool
car and nicely done.
(I think Hemi-Powered has gone off his meds or something. Ignore the rant
about nothing.)

I'm coming to this discussion months late, and have not seen the
following suggestion mentioned:

Perhaps calling it a "ute" might be more appropriate.

From - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Utility_vehicle
Vehicles like the Ford AU Falcon. Utility vehicles, often called utes
were invented in australia.

See also -
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_AU...ility_vehicles

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:FordTraytop2.jpg

The AU Falcon utility vehicles, launched in June 1999, were the first
tray utility vehicles that Ford had produced for several years. In
fact, they were the first full redesign of the Falcon utility range
since 1979.[citation needed]

The body of the AU Falcon utility was different in design from the
equivalent Holden Commodore ute in that the cab was separate from the
cargo tray (the tray was an integral part of the body shell in the
Holden) - resultantly this allowed the rear to accept different after
market body types, including tray decks, service bodys, and camper van
shells. Unlike the sedan, the AU Falcon utility vehicles were very
popular. The model options were XL, XLS, XR6 and XR8.

As for your other comment of, "I have other shots that I may post
later"; I would like to see more photos of this vehicle.

Thanks a bunch for presenting your excellent photos in numerous
automotive and general photography newsgroups!

I've been viewing your photos at random times for several years and
you always present both a photographic perspective and images of
subjects that I really appreciate. I really like your photos of
hotrods, streetrods, and unique customs such as this Studie.

Well, thank you for the kind words Crooze.

Since that was posted I purged some pictures but still have 3 left -
including the one Front View Right that you've apparently already seen, so I
don't have an awful lot but I'll repost what I have. I've also got a pic of
the info card that was in the windshield and I'll post that too.
