Manual or power?

I've replaced the driver's window regulator in both 87 sedan and
hatchback Accords; it's pretty straightforward, assuming the 88 is similar:

Remove the windows crank (there's a special tool available for just a
few bucks for pushing the clip off).

Remove the door panel (obviously), by removing the three screws holding
on the speaker cover, the three on the pocket, the three on the armrest,
the one holding the cup behind the doorhandle and lock lever, and the
one holding the front edge of the panel (normally covered by the dash
when the door is closed), then popping the plastic clips (use the proper
tool to avoid tearing the cardboard panel), and sliding the panel up and
off (the top trim hooks over the inner window edge).

Remove (carefully) the plastic weather-barrier, keeping it as intact as
possible.

Roll the window almost all the way down so you can see the plastic
mounting clips that are glued to the glass and bolt into the regulator
(should be one at each end of the window; it may have to be at a
different level for each one). Once unbolted, life the glass up and out
- you'll likely have to angle it to get it past the frame tracks.

Now you can unbolt the regulator itself - four or five bolts, IIRC,
should be about the only big ones left on the inner door surface (the
latch/lock mechanism has smaller bolts). It SHOULD be fairly obvious
which ones to remove.

Lift out the old regulator - slip in the new one in the same approximate
position, and bolt it back in.

Reverse the rest of the above process. Some things to watch for:

- Tighten the window-to-regulator bolts just enough to keep the window
on, but still allowing the glass to slide on the bolts, then roll the
window all the way up to make sure the bolts are in the right position.
Wind it back down and tighten the bolts.

- Replace the plastic; if you need to tape it, TuckTape (the plastic
stuff they use on vapor barrier when building houses) or packing tape
works best.

- The trickest part of getting the panel back on is getting the top
trip hooked back over the door lip; I find it helps to hook the front
end over first, about a foot back from its destination position, and
once it's started, slide the whole thing forward while slipping it over
the lip as you go. Make sure the handle/lock assembly are in place!

Hope that helps...
