Indeed. I think I'll lurk here a little longer..the BMW group is
REALLY boring compared to all the excitement and learning to be done
here...!

Would still owning of a couple of Alfa hub caps (new and rather good
looking), Aero Alfa roof racks and matching Alfa bike racks (I need to
get rid of the racks though) be a good enough excuse to stay here?

attachment system I've ever seen. Light silver coloured aluminium.

Two tracked bike racks. Bikes sit on the tracks and are held the
normal way up (on their tyres). These are designed to fit the aero
bars. These silver aluminium beauties are way cooler than anything
from Halfords (or BMW for that matter!!!). Seem to be able to take any
bike from small kiddies (5-6 year old) mountain-style bikes to my
ancient racer!

I think this may become more of a UKRM stylee Alfa pub.

While I'm not going to be Alfaless any time soon, I suspect my next car
but one will probably not be an Alfa.

Do you know if they're specific fit for saloon / wagon or universal fit?

(Our wagon doesn't have Alfa rails)

They fitted my saloon, however if you can find a pin (like a partially
screwed in screw) behind the rubber above the doors on the roof, it's
highly likely they will. I think the 4 pins are just high tensile
steel bolts but, IIRC, not all cars had them factory fitted.

Even if I can't find the paperwork for the racks to double check, just
measuring across the roof from the base of one pin to the base of the
pin on the other side will let me work out if the rack will fit.

It's a bit late tonight to check things (wife and bairn are sleeping)
but I can do that tomorrow if you want. First step is to see if you've
got the pins on your car.
