Default stereo problems

I drive a 2001 Mazda Protege LX. Yesterday, I was listening to a CD on the
factory deck, suddenly it stopped working. The indicator light that there
is a CD inside the deck is off. If I try to eject the CD, it will simply
not let me. Nothing happens. I can change it to FM/AM and switch stations,
but I hear no sound at all. I can put the volume up and down, but still,
the audio is completley blank. Not even static comes out of the speakers.
I tried replacing the Audio fuse, but it is still the same. Do I need a
new deck? What should I do?

Thank you
