Default What a Difference!

Since I bought the 156 the handling has been OK, but
recently deteriorated, following having 2 new front tyres
fitted.

Today I called in to my favourite tyre emporium - Selecta
in Newark, who are one of the few places that do front
*and* rear tracking.

It turns out that the 156 was *Miles* out! - front 5
(should be 0) Rear 5 (should be -1)

They were both so far out that they were sort of
compensating in sympathy, so the handling wasn't *totally*
****ed up.

Go on, I'll ask. How does one adjust the tracking on the rears?

All the best

I think the point implied is that there isn't any adjustment possible on the
156 rear hubs, short of panel beating or cutting / welding.

Didn't the 156 have 'passive 4 wheel steering'? Maybe replacement of
worn suspension parts restores alignment? Maybe the rears were correct
anyway and the garage fixed poorly set up front alignment?

Well, sorry to disillusion you, but I watched them do it!

This thread here discusses it as well:

Passive - sounds like losing the back end slightly on bends?
