I would've shut it down too. It is really slow, and that's a fact. Who is
running it and what that person gets as far as monetary support is not the
issue. The issue is that it is slow. If what you say is true, why does the
guy continue to run the thing?

I'm not about to donate money simply because the forums are that important
to me. You do get some decent information from them, but more often it's
just a place where everyone badgers games, as if they could do any better.
The simplicity of it is this: if you don't like a game don't buy it. And if
you don't buy it (or get a refund in rFactor's case), don't complain.
Giving level-headed and relatively true criticisms can improve a product. I
just don't see a bunch of sane responses at RSC or elsewhere, for that
matter.

I go to forums to get hints and stuff, not to hear complainers complaining
about the most miniscule issue.

A little OT, I know. The forum is slow, and that's the way it is. I can
live with it. Everyone wants a donation. And if I gave a donation to
everyone who wanted one, I'd be a defunct MFer.

I'd be willing to dispute that. I've had problems accessing it because
the crappy Microsoft architecture they're hosted on can't handle lots
and lots of simultaneous PHP threads, but in those cases the site is
totally inaccessible rather than slow. I can't honestly say I've had
problems simply browsing the site when it's available.
