Happy frickin' new year, r.a.d.!

To LBMHB and a few select other residents of the killfile, may your year
be filled with pain and misery and all those speeders that make you
jealous because your car isn't capable of keeping up and if one of those
deadly DUI's absolutely has to hit and maim/kill someone, better that he
hit you and not me.

To Scott in Aztlán, Brent, Arif, Dave (all of the Dave's/Davids who
frequent here - including all members of the dwpj65 sockpuppet group)
and some others that I converse with that I can't remember, may we have
clear smooth roads ahead and here's to the hope that, in 2006, LLB will
be made a capital offense.

Incorrect; you're neither competent nor courteous you LLH.

Keep going, you'll prove my point.

My point was that _everyone_ in this newsgroup think's they're the _only_
competent driver, and everyone other than them should have their license
removed.

Hardly. You have stated in the past that you drive in the left lane
because of your MFFY attititude, hence my previous remarks. That has
nothing to do with what I think of other posters on this newsgroup.

No. I believe that everybody who reads this group regularly (with certain
exceptions) is a competent driver. All it takes is a certain amount of
co-ordination, the interest, and the desire to be a good driver. I'm not
talking Daytona here, just normal street/highway driving. It's just not
that hard.

Wasn't talking about _just_ you!

Face it - virtually every driving discussion ends with someone saying, "You
shouldn't be driving." This is such a wonderful newsgroup. Even the OP
limited his wish for a Happy New Year to only a select few, rather than
everyone, and with the prevailing attitude here, I figure he effectively wished
no one in this news group a Happy 2006!

Oh, hell - I hadn't read the entire original post! He wants me dead! Sorry,
hate to disappoint - I have no such plans, and the law doesn't even register
"LLB" in the vast, vast majority of places as actually being a problem. An LLB
is almost always speeding, and that's what the law will get you for...

You're right - its not that hard, and every little thing that someone else
thinks someone is doing wrong is maybe not the end of the world, or in many
places, even a problem. The litmus test of "its illegal", as we all know,
counts for little or nothing because we all agree that the highly illegal
infraction of speeding is near-universally ignored. After that, its basically
"drive without having near-misses or accidents". You can break thousands of
laws and do that for decades on end, and its not just luck - its mostly paying
attention.

Happy 2006 to you, BTW.

That's because the vast majority of the laws have absolutely nothing to
do with safety and are nothing more than a stealth tax.

And I don't want you dead, Dave. ;-P

Happy New Year...
