hi today on the way home from work my car jerked alittle while
accelerating. i thought nothing of it so kept driving. when i almost got home the car jerked again when i acclerate and the check engine light came on flashing. b/4 when check engine comes on it didn't flash but this time it did. i know all about the loose gas cap but i don't think that's the issue. what kind of damage am i looking at and around how much it will cost this fix it? my can has 106k miles on it.... TIA sam |

If the check engine light comes on the car is saying: Something is wrong
that MAY cause a catalytic converter failure. If the check engine light is flashing the car is saying: Something is wrong that IS damaging the catalytic converter. Get the codes read and get it fixed before the cat gets destroyed. -- Stephen W. Take it to Autozone, they will read the code for free, then you go from
there. Until you do that, nobody has an idea what's wrong. Pull the plug(s) and see if it is fouled. That's free. |
