Katherine's wreck was much more horrific imo.

Not sure I do. Her impact on the wall seems more at an angle, which
would have reduced the amount of energy transfer from the impact and
hence why the car didn't travel that far away from the wall that it
impacted.

If you look at the wall that Kubica's car hit you can see that, at the
point of impact, it was not running parallel to the track, but actually
coming back out towards the track, resulting in his car being more
'head-on', requiring a much larger energy transfer and resulting in the
car bouncing all the way over to the other side. Fortunately for him,
the medical teams were there in only a few seconds, which I believe
improved his chances markedly.

He had no injuries in the 1st place what did the med crew do? Looking at the
tub it's amazing that he didn't have 2 broken ankels. Looks like the tubs on
the F1 cars need to be beefed up some.

You're kidding right? That's the most amazing display of structural
integrity ever, what the hell would you beef up?

Was he not unconscious. That's head trauma of some kind in my medical
book.

In any case, it appeared to be a SAFER barrier wall and I would bet the farm
if it were pure concrete it could have been much worse.

Standard concrete block walls, seen on many street circuits also (such
as Long Beach).
