Default excessive wind noise SC2

Well, the saga continues.
I finally got the stupid ventshades off my windows on my '02 SC2, and had
the door applique panels replaced (paint chipping).

Now when driving at speeds of 50+ I get excessive wind noise coming from the
top rear corner of the driver's side door. The noise silences when I put my
hand over that spot while driving, which makes me think that there is an air
leak somewhere in the door frame. My tech. tried reseating the rubber gasket
that goes around the door but that did not make the noise go away.

Before I can put new ventshades on, I need to fix this, the wind noise is
driving me mad as it is right in my left ear all the time! Is this a known
bug with the SC2 and how can it be fixed? Thanx.

We used a buiseness card to check the seals and found no anomolies. We even
compared the spacing with another SC2, no obvious difference. We tried
putting tape over the outside of the door where the outside door seals meet
the window by the applique, it seemed to quell the wind noise when taping up
the top of the door. So - based upon that, we are guessing that the door
frame MAY have been inadvertantly bent when the Ventshade was pulled off.

gee Dan, the only song I can think of that would even remotely disquise the
noise would be Pink Floyd's "A Pillar of Winds", er-thanks anywayz......

What do you think blah blah, door frame bent, seal destroyed, what could it
be?
I am going crazy from the noise.
