I don't trust motor trendy.... but 7500 built.. so we are looking at what
50grand or more with dealer mark up as a 'collectable'.
Have fun bidding for them..

The 7500 number comes from the NY Times article...the other link is
simply a Motor Trend magazine cover with a picture. I have not yet seen
the Motor Trend article.

It is NOT the GT motor. Different block, no dry sump system, ect...
Why does everyone assume that it's the GT motor just becuse it shares the
same displacement. Ford used a supercharged 5.4L in the Lightning and has
been using 5.4L blocks for years.

I doubt they'll use the engine out of the GT. How can they justify
$140,000 for a car then say it's engine is in a Mustang too?
Remember when Oldsmobile got upset because they revealed it's
V8 was in the Firebird many years ago? Turns out, it was a mistake
because the Pontiac V8 that preceded it was a better engine anyway.

According to Ford's media website, the block is cast iron, the heads,
pistons, and rings are from the Ford GT...
