The 7500 number comes from the NY Times article...the other link is
simply a Motor Trend magazine cover with a picture. I have not yet seen the Motor Trend article. It is NOT the GT motor. Different block, no dry sump system, ect...
Why does everyone assume that it's the GT motor just becuse it shares the same displacement. Ford used a supercharged 5.4L in the Lightning and has been using 5.4L blocks for years. -- Mike Silver 10th Anniversary Cobra Coupe --- Tony Alonso wrote: > If you want to see a photo of it, take a look at the link in this > forum thread... > http://forums.bradbarnett.net/index.php?showtopic=19241 > > Supposedly (although we will know shortly after the introduction at a > media event on Wednesday, March 23, at 1:00pm EST) - > > Whipplecharged 5.4L V8, 32 valves, DOHC - 450+hp (detuned version of > Ford GT engine) > solid axle > $40,000 (+/-) > 7500 cars built > > Another story may be found here... > http://www.nydailynews.com/business/...p-249915c.html > > > > RayS wrote: > >> There's supposed to be a version of the upcoming Cobra at next >> week's New York auto show.
