Default 2005 Saleen

Anyone take a look at the new Saleen yet? It's pretty nice I just think that
the rear taillights could be better. IMO a retro looking car should either
share the three lights on each side or something reminiscent of the Shelby's
with sequential going across the back. I can't wait to see what the Shelby
or other special editions will look like. I would like to see a Mach I,
Boss, California Special, and Hertz edition.

I think that Saleen FINISHED the 05.
I would have one in a red hot second and I normally don't like the
gingerbread they put on cars.

It looks real nice, but I prefer the front of teh stock GT. I think the
smaller lights that they have in the body plastic on the Saleen just looks
odd. I love the rear detail work, but would have liked to see teh 3-bar
lights remain.

So far the Roush is my favorite version of the 05. Probably because of the
hood more than anything. IMO most of the tunner cars are on the boarder of
becoming rice.

The inner 1/3 of each light is covered by a plastic insert. It can be
removed easily.

Hate the whole tupperware treatment of the rear end.

It is a beautiful car, but I don't think I'd make any of the exterior
changes to my GT. Maybe I'm just prejudiced.

Don't think I'll do the stripes, unless I need to cover some scratches
in 10 years or so.
