climatcontrol problem.
Thank you for reading this. I own a A4 TDI (2002). My climatcontrol stops
working after a few hours driving. It's a serious problem because the view is soon blocked and I have to open the windows. Does anyone recognioze this problem? If that's the case what did you do about it? Thanks. |

Thanks. > When you say "stops working", can you elaborate, is it when it's on Auto or Manual, do you use the Demist function, maybe the car is reaching the temperature and the fans are stopped, Does the display shut off. Personally I find the B6 Climate Control pretty poor, the B5 was better, Audi have now realised that 18c is sometimes too warm, also when you have the climate on 18C on manual its hotter than it is on Auto. Also the fans on the Audi don't work until the engine has warmed up sufficiently, this can mean it takes 5 mins before you even get the demist function, or at least on my Audi it does this, does anyone else's? |

climatcontrol problem.
The problem appears on Auto and on Manual. When I use the Demist function it
makes a jet engine sound because the valves are closed and the air can't escape. The display is OK. The display is OK. > So on demist you get no air coming from the vents on the top of the dash? The air is directed by servo motors, maybe one has gone a dealer will be able to tell you more. A test would be to change the direction of the airflow and see if you hear the flaps moving with no air coming out. |
