Focal 2002 Chrysler 300M (ultra-modified 300M)
http://autoblog.com/2006/01/08/focal...chrysler-300m/
Chris says about this CES concept "rotating mono doors on each side make this one interesting coupe!" Designed by Christopher McEntyre, the estimated $250K car sports an Alpine DVD head-unit, Xenarc in-car computer, and 4 screens. Another designer had to be hired just for the doors, which took 11 weeks. The paint took another 2 weeks, and the audio, which includes Focal Utopia series speakers, Audison Thesis amps, and a collection of subwoofers including an 8 incher under the dash, took 7 weeks. Other mods include Corbeau racing seats, prototype Davin 22" spinners (should become the Revolution 6.0 wheel). It runs and drives, but McEntyre says it's not street legal -- they stripped the side impact beams and airbags. We're also able to conclude that what makes the automotive component to this show different than SEMA is the lack of spinners. Chris says this was the one of the only cars at the show with them. |
