The flat rate manual will give you the typical time to do a given repair. The shop may add to this to take into account that something may break in the R&R process requiring more time. Multiply this by the shop's posted hourly rate. Flat rate manuals are a pay/subscription service. Not likely you can find one online. As Steve suggested, get several estimates. You can divide by the shop's posted rate to see the difference in hours allowed. |

labor flat rate hour amounts
"Private" > wrote in message ... > Does anyone know the labour flat rate hours for > > Remove & Replace windshield wiper motor > > Remove & Replace front brake rotors and pads > > Remove & Replace rear drums and shoes > > TIA Sorry for oversight in neglecting to identify model. I am looking for info on 96 and up S series (4 door sedans and wagons) but suspect that earlier years S series are similar if not identical. I recognize that there will be some variations depending on the source, and that the Saturn warranty allowable amounts will probably be the shortest. I have received following data R&R wiper motor = 1.8-2 hrs R&R front rotors & pads = 1.2 hrs R&R rear drums & shoes = 1.6 hrs R&R frt & rear brakes = 2.6 hrs The wiper job was my main interest as I have not done this job before and the manual indicated a job that could be problematic due to the nature of required dash disassembly. The brake times were of more general interest to compare with my own experience. TIA TIA |
