Einstein was a theoretician. It's the experimentalists who drive the
SUVs. Especially field biologists.

Very few scientists would drive an SUV, perhaps only those working in
the Military-Industrial complex and junk food industry...

When you have 3 or 4 kids in tow, who won't fit into a regular car, then
an SUV is the logical choice (or a minivan).

A RAV4 gets get fuel mileage than a Sienna.

Of course, one with fewer kids might want to get a Ford Escape Hybrid.

Personally, I just try to take the subway.

OTOH, I need my crew cab pickup to carry my bike to where I ride.

Please don't give them that much room. The minivan is their only
logical choice unless they live off road.

Would it be the logical thing to do to ride away from home? Well,
around here it's not possible due to unsafe roads, but it may be in
some cases.

I don't ride on public roads except to cross them. Has to do with the
fact my bike is over three feet wide and that, when I'm seated on it,
my head is only about three feet off the ground.

Pretty much: "Think for yourself, as long as it aligns with what we want."
