Default Jeep Oil Gauge

The needle on my oil gauge of my 1999 Jeep Classic goes all the way over to
the right when I accelerate. What is causing this?
Thanks

Jeeps have 'very' shaky quality on the oil pressure gauges. Some swing
is to be expected when you up the rpm, but if it pegs over, it likely
needs replacing. It is pretty common to act like that.
