Reason you likely are buying a Honda is because of their reliablity, don't
fall for the scam.

Default Extended Warranty?

Dealership offered additional 4 yrs for $968, a grand-opening "special".
$100 deductible, but for $140 more, I could have zero deductible.

I declined, because I won't make a $1,000 snap decision for something like
that. However, the dealership gave me the option to accept it within the
next few days.

I'd like your opinions as to whether I should accept this.

Thanks so much.

The one we bought cost $1200+, returnable at the end of the coverage period, if
not used.

IMHO:
After 3 years, put $50/Mo in an intrest bearing account to pay for future
repairs.
Crunch the numbers for your own situation and in most cases you'll find it's
cheaper than insurance.
If you get lucky, you'll be able to put the money towards a hefty down payment
for a New Accord.
