Easy. There's lots of stuff that explodes if you know the chemistry,
not to mention the standard fuel oil and fertilizer for the big jobs.
And of course you can always steal the stuff from the mining industry.
You think the explosives in Iraq and Afghanistan that the enemy is
using is all commerically manufactured? Nope, they roll their own a
lotta the time. Of course they do have a lot of unexploded 155mm
shells to scrape explosive out of, too. But stuff like TATP? That is
easily hommeade, and is so wikedly unstable that it's really easy to
initiate.

Nobody's watching the roads right now for bombs. That other stuff is

They want to kill us. If they get strong/rich enough, they'll be over
here in numbers. The kid they arrested last weekend for plotting to
blow up half of Texas, including Pres. Bush's place, is just the tip
of the iceberg. Get about 500,000 like him over here, the FBI won't
be keeping up with that. They're likely walking across the southern
border right now, with the rest of the illegals coming from that
direction.

Naw, I think we should bring every soldier home from anywhere overseas
that is not a US possession or a state. We can turn half or 2/3rds
of 'em or so out into the reserves / National Guard, and dramatically
cut the military budget. The rest of the world wants their borders
protected, like S. Korea, and Turkey, etc. they can do it themselves.
We spend trillions of dollars defending Turkey against the commies for
decades, and then we can't use their land as a staging area for the
Iraq invasion? Screw them, they can do it themselves. And S. Korea
is beating the hell out of our industry with cheap competition, which
is cheap 'cuz they don't have to spend the money they would otherwise
have to if American troops weren't in their country as a deterrent.
The north has a million man army. Let the S. Koreans deal with it
themselves, and, BTW, pay for it themselves. Bring everybody home,
let the rest of 'em do their own thing, and if their neigbor invades,
they can handle it themselves.

We can adopt the Swiss model, and have every citizen between 18 and 65
in the Militia, and drill 2 weeks a year and 1 weekend a month, just
like the reserves. Have an automatic weapon in every home, we'd be
absolutely impregnable. And, everybody would be involved in the
defense of the country, instead of just a few volunteers. And of
course it'd be cheap - you do all this as a patriotic duty.
