Bloody irritating design, actually. Best car I've had for stuff like that recently was the Passat - the central locking opened all the doors and the boot, meaning you only had to pull a lever next to the numberplate lights to open the boot. You could also lock the boot from the inside using a button on the driver's door. -- Steve H 'You're not a real petrolhead unless you've owned an Alfa Romeo' http://www.italiancar.co.uk - Honda VFR800 - MZ ETZ300 - Alfa 75 TSpark Alfa 156 2.0 TSpark Lusso - Fiat Marea 20v HLX - COSOC KOTL BoTAFOT #87 - BoTAFOF #18 - MRO # - UKRMSBC #7 - Apostle #2 - YTC # |

It's like finding you've been walking around with your shirt hanging out. -- PeterMcC If you feel that any of the above is incorrect, inappropriate or offensive in any way, please ignore it and accept my apologies. |

Maybe but I included it in the nice touches on my GTV (the later 156s don't have a key option - only remote button or lever by seat operation) I think it looks neat not to see a lock for some reason. Compared with the internal boot release in the GTV being in the glovebox - now that was odd! |

Why would you do this..other than curiosity. If I've got the key, I've got the button to open it automatically - this is less hassle so I've never used my key. -- Z Scotland Alfa Romeo 156 2.4JTD Veloce Leather 'Oil' be seeing you.. I own an 147 and I don't have a manual option of opening the boot. Just electronically. Silly, isn't it? At least I don't have to bother about the swivelling logo. Kind regards, Robert |
