Default Creative X-Fi Issue ?

If you have a Creative X-Fi Card, and particularly if you are having
"Crackling" issues, you need to read this:

Luckily I haven't had these issues. I have the $400 X-Fi elite Pro. Not
sure if the extra memory this one has on-board helps with this or not.

I have had several Creative cards right back to the soundblaster days.
I think the only line I didn't go for was the LIVE cards...and I don't
recall ever having cracking issues.
But I do recall, especially with GPL, (and somewhat with the N4+ titles)
Creative had users with crackling problems. It sounds like this will be an
issue as long as Creative writes custom drivers that hog the pci bus.

Yes, they all have haven't they? and it's all been down to PCI timings IIRC.
