It don't. Nether does a Ford Focus, or a Prius, or a lotta other cars
designed to do what this one does - save gas.

The point is that you can save enough $$$ in gasoline expenses, by
parking the boat-tower MOST of the time, and riding around in a Volt
MOST of the time, so's your Volt turns out to be either free of
monthly lease payments (which you pay, of course, but they total the
same or less than the $$$ you would have spent on gas for the
boat-tower) and then the boat-tower isn't getting a pile of miles on
the odometer just going back and forth to work or school or to the
grocery. You can then keep the boat-tower longer, and save in
expenses of buying a new one for several years more.

I think a more appropriate question is how does it do on a golf course.
You know 18 holes can be over 10 miles.
I know I know I'm going to burn in hell for this.

Save money by spending money. I keep trying that, on the wife. I haven't
been able to get the over and under, I want yet.

Works in some situations. If you save more in gas than you spend on
the lease, then you can keep the truck longer, and make out by not
having to replace it so soon.

It comes under "Where there's a will, there's a way..."

Won't work; you'll hit overage charges on that lease, which is 3
years/36,000 miles (and you haven't included the $2500 down payment).
Also my electricity costs more than that.

Probably shouldn't have driven the one the skunk family set up
underneath. The Prius doesn't use Pb/H2SO4 batteries and therefore
there's pretty much no way for sulfides to form from the battery.

Or until electric owners put such a demand on the electric
infrastructure (remember, we're in the BANANA stage for power plants
and transmission lines) that it can't keep up.

High power switching regulators have come a long way in the past few
decades.

I don't own it but she keeps it spotless.
I didn't think it had lead acid batteries but it stinks like them.
