Maybe if you spent less time in the morning replying to NG posts, you would
have more time to get to your dealer and onto your work !!! Like I said...
you must have a problem with organisation... I would hate for you to be
related to my health records in some way...

In addition last Monday (10/04/06) you spent time replying to a post at
16:34 - busy day at the office was it? Maybe you could have used that time
to pick up/ drop off a car...

I look forward to you response...

Dom

Hmmm..guy asks reasonable on-topic question - completely unhelpful
answers deteriorate to cheap goading, off-topic (FAQ 1), personal
abuse. "people are trying to help" (FAQ 8) - ROTFL.

The OP probably thinks we're all a bunch of @ssholes here and he
didn't even admit to owning a BMW FFS. :-(

To be fair, most of us wouldn't consider a 35 mile round-trip to our
nearest Alfa dealer to be anything out of the ordinary. I've driven
further than that to get to a decent mechanic in the past.

I travel 45 miles to main dealer.... before I google, where was the
specialist near Newport?

Well, my mechanic in Llanbradach isn't a specialist as such, he's just a
bloody good local mechanic. Proper old-school guy, does the job properly
in a run-down back-street workshop.

Personal recommendation is certainly something that'll generate more
business than most advertising! 147 JTD belt change and service - do you
reckon he'd do a good job?

Can't see why not.

He's got our 156 for a service at the moment, got mour 75 through an MOT
last year and the 155 the year before that. He's also done a belt change
on my old Passat 1.8T.... which is a much more complicated job than a
1.9JTD lump.

So yes, I'd take one there. Especially for, ISTR, £27.50 / hour.....
