Engine dies after few minutes
Hi,
I have a problem with my Nissan Micra '95. Engine works perfectly (no stalls, powe cut-offs), until warmed. After it has reached optimal temperature (5-10 min.dashboard indicator) it suddenly goes down and I cannot start it again until chilled! I'm sure that it's not overheated and all the rest of equipment works fine (lights, radio, etc. no warnings on dashboard). Have changed ignition cables just in case, but it did'n help. Please help me out there, I got stuck in Sweden and don't know anyone here!!! Regards /Krystian |

Try spraying carb cleaner into the intake, if it starts it is a fuel
related problem, if not check for spark, basics here obviously, to see which system is at fault. Carb cleaner? No. Is it something you use to remove water from fuel
tank...ehh? Spark test.. I guess I need a spare plug and to try that is to put it on the head while starting the engine? /KL "Shep" > wrote in message ... > Did you try what I posted yesterday??? > "Krystian Lelek" > wrote in message > ... > > Nope. Carb cleaner comes in a spray can for cleaning carburetors, it is
combustible and will start an engine by spraying into the inake for a quick check if fuel delivery is the problem. Spark check can be done by inserting a metallic object into the spark plug wire and hold it near ground as you crank the engine, to check for spark. Unless we are having a language barrier problem here, if you don't understand these procedures, you need additional on the spot help with this. "Krystian Lelek" > wrote in message ... > Carb cleaner? why does the image of a golf ball in the gas tank trick come to mind??
is it possible someone sugared your gas and thereby gummed up your fuel system?
