I can't imagine why the a.a.c group would be treated differently by a news server, but I suppose it is possible. Has anyone ever seen the charter of the group? Our news server scans *attachments* to posts for viruses and doesn't allow us to open anything infectious. Ric put his picture in the "body" of the post via HTML, and that came through fine. It would be foolish of us to think that ever news group is monitored. News
groups are called out as binary or it is omitted if they are not, and they may or may not be policed by the ISP. My guess is that money for a service may change what you can or do get. I try not to post in html but get caught in replies once in a while. One of the main reasons I don't use the Corvette forums out there is the heavy graphics that are involved in their posts. I have never received a picture on this news group although I have sent them from here. -- Dad 04 C5 CE Z51 72 Shark Black/Black/4spd "Tedd Riggs" > wrote in message news:AQW4d.7$Ym1.5@trnddc03... > Now I am confused...What blocks the binary files ? There could be a difference with a Total Loss (everything in the household
gone and/or ruined) -vs- a Partial Loss where they wouldn't be required to replace everything and needed to know a list of what was damaged and what was still OK.... At least that's what I'm hoping. Sounds logical anyway.. :-\ USAA said today it could be another 3 weeks before an adjuster could be assigned.. uggh Charlie wrote: > After TS Allison I lived in a Marriott with adjustors from most of the > major insurance carriers, I didn't meet any that didn't require > itemized lists.
