Default fuel gauge isn't working anymore(s)

i drive a 94 honda accord dx. my fuel gauge goes to E even if the
tank has been replenished with fuel. this has been happening since
about 4 years ago.

should I replace the fuel gauge or let it be?

i don't really rely on the fuel gauge, but i rely on the
fuel light indicator to let me know my fuel needs replenishing.

It almost certainly is not the gauge itself that is the problem. Could
be the sender in the tank or the wiring to it.

also check that the vehcle has not been jacked up using the tank. when
they dent, they bend the internal baffles locking the float in position.
