Hi I am interested in boosting power output on a 1.5 single carb sprint
motor. I need more BHP and importantly torque. I am currently
overhauling the engine and am thinking of super and turbocharging, but
having problems of where to mount a supercharger. I can get a merc c200
kompressor localy. Any sugestions on whether a cam grind will do much
or any other mods to get more power.

Thanks Tim

I *think* I saw one mounted in the middle once. You'd probably be better
looking at a mid engined job

Erm, no.

If you need to ask, you almost certainly can't do it.

If you really want a Sprint with more power, you want an Alfa 33 16v
engine - probably running carbs 'cos the injection will be a PITA to
plumb in.

Alternatively, just buy a car with the required power output to begin
with...... if you really want a Sprint, start with a 1.7.

I've certainly seen supercharged and turbocharged boxers at National Alfa
Day. There are much better ways of spending your money if you want more
power, though.

If you want to keep your 1.5 engine, fit heads from a Sud TI or 33 QV with
the twin carburettors, you'll have 105 hp instead of 84.
Fitting a carbed 1.7 engine will give 118 hp. Fitting a carbed 16v engine
will give 150+ HP and that is what I am doing:

pictures, a lot of work involved)
Superchargers have been fitted to Suds, see here for example:
