I am a writer who knows what I don't know, and I don't know antique cars.
One of my characters in this late 1948 story is male, slightly disreputable, and very welathy. He owns three cars. What should they be? A brand new one, probably, and I realize none were made during the war, so perhaps the other two would be from the thirties? At least one sports car, probably? You can see, I need help. Please email good ideas to me at . Thanks. |

Turn him into a Tucker dealer, trying to sell his only 1948 Tucker
Torpedo, and a stack of radios forced upon him by the factory. He could also sell his late mother's 1910 Rolls Royce, with a cracked block and a very sinister history, which explains the odor. Another might be him trying to sell the original 1934 Ford 'death car, from Bonnie and Clyde' complete with bullet holes. Of course it is not the real car, but a fake. Kaiser and Studeaker were "all-new" desognms im 1948. He might have one
of those. He may have also invested in puttoing in order sevaral places and turning these cars around when they came in. POI: My Uncle hit the lottery in 1948 and paid $400 under the table for a new Pontiac convert off the showroom floor, jumping. over those ahead of him. This was a carry=pver of the '42 design. The new Jag was about to be launched and he might have made a deal with Max Hoffman for one of them, if you need a sports car. An interestig old car might be a top-ofF-the-libne '31 Reo or one of the last Pierce-Arrows KDH. mmtheobald wrote: > I am a writer who knows what I don't know, and I don't know antique cars. > One of my characters in this late 1948 story is male, slightly disreputable, > and very welathy. Some pre-war cars are the Essex, Hupmobile, Graham, Durant and Cord.
