Where would you cut the budget?

As a member of the Church of Euthanasia, I believe suicide should be encouraged to reduce the population. However, legalized euthanasia is likely to be abused, with those whose medical care is costing too much being "encouraged" to kill themselves. "Suicide" is derived from root words meaning "killing of oneself"; euthanasia is not suicide, since someone else is doing the killing, and determining whether the subject freely consented or was pressured is impossible. > 8- Bring doctors from Cuba. They are way cheaper. That's because they are slaves. Though well-trained, Cuban doctors are prohibited from leaving Cuba without permission, and when they travel abroad it is usually to places like Venezuela, which trades oil for their services. The doctors are kept under guard, to discourage them from attempting to defect. |

The Federal Government channels money to the local government so they can put pressure on bloated corrupt bureaucracies. They are still wasting money around here. They are building a nice cultural center in a community that's falling apart, where you don't have space to ride a bike. They have security guards in a mixed path where people don't need it. The path itself must have cost millions and it only goes for a mile. > > > 3- War on Drugs -- make it legal. That's true. But the effect of such threat is to let the AMA lose much of its power on profits. |

Yeah, even his watered-down healthcare plan was under constant attack. You think he had a choice to pass a clean and cheap Single Payer Insurance like Canada? The system is set up so nothing is changed for the better. And they wouldn't let the "black sheep" score some big one like this... QUESTION: Why didn't Obama try and push for the single payer system? ANSWER: The single payer system is only supported by the left wing of the democratic party so there was not a majority in the house nor 60 votes in the senate for it. They could not even pass a public option in the senate. Obama is more pragmatic than idealistic in his approach so he didn't push hard for anything until he saw what could be done, and his laid back approach nearly caused the defeat of the bill. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/in...4052531AAYDDFD |

I wouldn't let my child go in there together with the unwashed homeless. It's a matter of bad habits and he may want to become a hobo. \ Are we ever addressing the issue of the homeless... or we lost that battle? |

No, nobody messes with legalization > though nobody knows why it's illegal in the first place. A quick search reveals that marijuana was effectively banned by the Marihuana Tax Act of 1937, which was passed with an unrecorded voice vote in the Democrat-controlled House and Senate, and signed into law by Democrat President Franklin D. Roosevelt. The Act did not actually outlaw marijuana, it just required a tax stamp be purchased, and no stamps were printed. At the time, it was believed that the Constitution did not grant the federal government the power to outlaw drugs, so the power of direct taxation granted by the 16th Amendment was used to achieve the same effect. It should be noted that the left loves the 16th Amendment, as it allowed the federal government to expand it size and power beyond anything the Founders intended or conceived. Though many blame the war on drugs on conservatives (and Nixon did start the war and Reagan did expand it), the tendency towards prohibition started with liberal socialists, Methodists in particular. At the time, alcohol was associated with backwards cultures, like Irish Catholics, who were seen as standing in the way of the socialists' progressive utopia. Today, left-wing Methodists continue their tradition in meddling in other people's lives with their support for stricter anti-tobacco regulations. For some reason, left-wing atheists do not object with this particular example of a religion meddling in politics. >>> 4- Allow Euthanasia. I am not aware of any that have been anything but a financial drain on their communities. They are a con job by wealthy sports team owners to extract money from cities and counties -- all in the name of "team support." |

That's very true! They are cannon fodder for the electoral machine or else they rot in homes. I rather commit Euthanasia first! |
